WOCI at the 10th Elite Network Annual Conference in Bangkok

From 27 to 30 October 2026, we had the opportunity to attend the 10th Elite Network Annual Conference in Bangkok, Thailand. Elite is a new international freight forwarding network that World Ocean Cargo Ibérica joined this year.

Elite is part of WCAworld, one of the world's largest networks of independent freight forwarders, with an extensive presence across countries, cities and ports worldwide.

Being part of this network enables us to strengthen our international coverage and gives us access to a range of services and tools for members, including financial protection, international industry conventions, cargo insurance solutions, logistics training and international transport documentation services.

More than 220 logistics professionals

This year's conference in Bangkok brought together more than 220 logistics and freight forwarding professionals.

During the event, we had the opportunity to meet and connect with more than 90 international agents, through the welcome cocktail, one-to-one meetings and the various networking events included in the conference programme.

Elite offers something particularly valuable to WOCI: the opportunity to be part of a smaller and closer group within a large international network.

An international network at the service of our customers

For World Ocean Cargo Ibérica, belonging to international freight forwarding networks is not simply about obtaining rates in different markets.

Our objective is to strengthen our services worldwide, building trusted relationships with local agents who can support our customers' operations.

These partnerships give us access to reliable local contacts for exports, imports and cross-trade shipments, helping us coordinate shipments efficiently at both origin and destination.

International networks also allow us to exchange expertise and market knowledge, seek advice before handling specific shipments, and create new commercial synergies that help us maintain existing business and develop new international traffic.

Ultimately, we continue to expand our international network of partners to provide our customers with an increasingly complete, personal and global service.

Next stop: Panama 2027.

We look forward to meeting our partners again and continuing to create new opportunities for cooperation.

SALES DEPARTMENT

I have been with World Ocean Cargo Ibérica since late 2009. I have worked in the administration, export, and import departments. I have managed all types of shipments by sea, air, land, and cross trades. I worked for a season in Finland supporting an agent with shipments for clients we had in common. Having worked directly with freight forwarders around the world has given me an understanding of international door-to-door logistics.
