Air Import/Export Process to Spain

Registration of the exporter/importer: Registration in the EORI (registration and identification number of economic operators in the EU).

Tariff classification: Determine the HS code for the goods.

Documentation required:

o Commercial invoice

o Packing list

o Air Waybill (AWB)

o Sanitary or origin certificates (if applicable).

Customs clearance:

o Presentation of the declaration at customs.

o Inspection if deemed necessary.

Release and delivery: Once cleared by customs, the goods are delivered to the consignee.

Approximate Costs

- Air freight: Varies according to weight/volume, origin and urgency.

- Customs charges: Import duties (according to tariff), VAT (21% general).

- Administrative costs: Customs agency, handling, warehousing if applicable.

- Insurance: Recommended for high value products.

Delivery Times

- Standard air shipment: 3 to 7 working days.

- Express shipping (Courier): 1 to 3 business days.

- Customs clearance: 1-2 days if there are no incidents.

Key Requirements

- Be registered with EORI number.
