Visit Port of Barcelona

Visit Port of Barcelona

On May 4, 2024, we had the opportunity to visit the port of Barcelona with the help of Escola Unidas – Intermodal Transport.

After an explanation of the different expansions of the port from its beginnings to the present and the future project.

We embarked to be able to see the entire port area from the sea.

We were able to contemplate:

The RO-RO terminal; wheeled cargo, they have a whole area for themselves.

The dangerous goods terminal, also separated from the rest of the goods.

The food products terminal.

The cruise zone for tourism.

The APM terminal, Container Terminal of the South Quay of the Port of Barcelona.

The BEST terminal, Hutchison Ports BEST, although we saw it from far.

Container ships of two shipping companies that were in unloading (import) and loading (export) operations.

RO-RO ships.

Boat maintenance area.

Thanks to this, all of our team members on the visit better understood the entire port operation by seeing it up close.
